Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour Substitute with gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
  • 1 cup Butter Unsalted is best for better salt control.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar Brown sugar can add a deeper flavor.
For the Filling
  • 1/2 cup Caramel Both store-bought and homemade caramel work well.
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup Chocolate Choose dark or milk chocolate based on preference.
For the Finishing Touch
  • 1 teaspoon Edible Gold Optional, adds a touch of elegance.

Equipment

  • mixing bowl
  • Rolling Pin
  • cookie cutter
  • baking tray
  • Parchment Paper
  • wire rack

Method

Steps to Make
  1. Cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour until a smooth dough forms. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the chilled dough to approximately 1/8 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut out circles.
  3. Place a small spoonful of caramel in the center of each circle. Fold the edges toward the center to create a triangular shape, pinching the corners to secure the filling.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the shaped cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Let the cookies cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Dip the tops into melted chocolate and sprinkle with edible gold for an extra touch.
