  • 3 medium Bananas very ripe
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda can substitute with baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg optional
  • 1 1/2 cups All-purpose Flour can substitute for gluten-free flour
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips optional
  • 1/2 cup Nuts walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup Dried Fruits raisins or cranberries

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by greasing it with butter or oil.
  2. Combine melted butter and sugar in a mixing bowl, stirring until well mixed.
  3. Mash the very ripe bananas until they're smooth, then mix them into the butter-sugar combination.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture; stir until combined.
  5. Fold in the baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 40-55 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick inserted in the center.
  8. Cool the banana bread in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
