For the Beef Mixture
  • 1 pound Ground Beef lean
  • 1 medium Onion finely diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger fresh is best
For the Cabbage Base
  • 4 cups Green Cabbage shredded
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce or Coconut Aminos
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil or avocado oil
  • 2 tablespoons Rice Vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes optional
For Seasoning and Garnishing
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted Sesame Seeds optional

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Once the beef is browned, drain excess fat and add the finely diced onion. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and ground ginger, cooking until aromatic, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes until tender yet still slightly crunchy.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Pour this sauce over the beef and cabbage.
  6. Finish by garnishing with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds just before serving.
