How to Make Breakfast Hashbrown Casserole
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a 9 x 13-inch baking dish by spraying it with non-stick spray.
  2. Cook the pork sausage in a medium skillet over medium heat, breaking it into smaller pieces until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Whisk together eggs, milk (or cream), salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl until thoroughly combined.
  4. Layer the thawed hashbrowns evenly in the prepared baking dish, then top with the cooked sausage and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes until the eggs are fully set and the top is lightly browned.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
