  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Soy sauce can be used as a substitute
For Cooking

Equipment

  • Measuring cups
  • measuring spoons
  • Spatula

Method

Cooking Instructions
  1. Begin by generously seasoning both sides of the thick pork chops with salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Pour oil into a large skillet and set over medium heat. When the oil shimmers, lay the seasoned pork chops in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Carefully flip the pork chops and continue cooking for another 4-5 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches at least 145°F. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low and add butter. Once melted, add sliced mushrooms and sauté for about 3 minutes until tender.
  5. Stir in the flour and cook for about a minute to form a roux. Gradually pour in chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping the bottom of the skillet.
  6. Allow the sauce to simmer for 5-7 minutes until it thickens. If too thick, add more broth to reach desired consistency.
  7. Plate the pork chops and ladle the creamy mushroom gravy on top, serving with mashed potatoes or your favorite side.
