How to Make Slow Cooker BBQ Beef Brisket
  1. In a bowl, mix together thyme, paprika, black pepper, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and cumin. Rub this spice mixture generously over the brisket to ensure flavor in every bite.
  2. Pour 1 cup of water into the bottom of your 7-quart slow cooker. Place the seasoned brisket fat side up.
  3. Drizzle liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce over the brisket, enhancing the barbecue flavor.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat. Cook for 8 to 10 hours, with a full 10 hours recommended.
  5. Once cooked, remove the brisket from the slow cooker. Allow it to rest briefly, then shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded brisket to the slow cooker. Pour in the barbecue sauce and mix well.
  7. Cover again and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
