Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 lb Ground Beef or ground turkey/chicken for lighter option
  • 1 medium Diced Onion yellow or white onions recommended
  • 1 cup Frozen Mixed Vegetables can replace with fresh diced veggies
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese sharp cheddar preferred
For the Crust
  • 2 packages Refrigerated Pie Crusts or homemade
For Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat, add the diced onion, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  5. Mix in Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add frozen mixed vegetables and stir until warmed through.
  7. Roll out pie crusts and cut circles to fit the muffin cups. Place in each cup, fill with beef mixture, and sprinkle cheddar on top.
  8. Cover with smaller crust circles, seal edges, and cut slits on top for steam to escape. Brush with beaten egg.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and flaky.
  10. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from the tin and serve warm.
