Method

Directions
  1. Prepare Ingredients: Start by measuring the penne pasta, chopping the broccoli into small florets, and flaking the cooked salmon.
  2. Cook Pasta: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook for 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Reserve about ½ cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
  3. Cook Salmon: Season the salmon fillet with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. In a skillet, sauté it in olive oil for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through; flake the salmon once done.
  4. Sauté Broccoli: In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets. Sauté until they turn bright green but remain slightly crisp, which will take about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Add the drained pasta and flaked salmon to the skillet with the broccoli. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, adjusting the sauce thickness with the reserved pasta water as necessary.
  6. Serve: Plate your creamy salmon broccoli pasta and garnish with fresh herbs or extra Parmesan cheese.
