  • 6 large Eggs Use large eggs for best results
  • 1 lb Ground Pork Sausage Can substitute turkey sausage or bacon
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Choose your favorite variety
For the Gravy
  • 1 package Peppered Gravy Mix 2 3/4 ounces
  • 1/2 cup Milk Whole milk recommended
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground pork sausage until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Prepare the gravy mix according to package instructions and combine it with the cooked sausage.
  4. Cut the biscuits into quarters and layer half of them in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Pour half of the sausage gravy over the biscuits, then sprinkle half of the shredded cheese on top.
  6. Repeat with the remaining biscuits, gravy, and cheese.
  7. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
  8. Pour the mixture evenly over the layered biscuits and sausage.
  9. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 minutes.
  10. After baking, let the casserole cool for a few minutes before slicing it into squares.
