How to Make Savory Breakfast Pop-Tarts
- Preheat your oven to the temperature recommended for puff pastry.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface until they're about 1/8 inch thick.
- Cut the pastry into rectangles or squares.
- Place a spoonful of your chosen savory fillings in the center of each cut pastry.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash.
- Fold the pastry over to enclose the fillings and gently press the edges together.
- Arrange the pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with the remaining egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake according to puff pastry instructions or until golden brown, typically about 20-25 minutes.
