  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry approximately 8 oz, defrosted and slightly rolled out
For the Filling
  • 6 oz Ham cut into strips
  • 6 oz Gruyère Cheese cut into rectangles
  • 4 sprigs Thyme leaves removed
Optional Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 tablespoon Everything Bagel Seasoning for flavor boost
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon Mustard for extra flavor
For the Egg Wash
  • 1 egg Egg combined with 1 tablespoon of heavy cream

Method
 

Basic Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together the egg and heavy cream in a small bowl to create your egg wash.
  3. Defrost the puff pastry completely, gently roll it out, and cut it into 6 equal rectangles.
  4. Arrange the rectangles on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Spread about 2 teaspoons of dijon mustard on each rectangle, then place the ham strips and gruyère cheese down the center.
  6. Brush the edges of the pastry with the egg wash and pinch two opposite corners together to seal.
  7. Brush the tops of the pastries with more egg wash and sprinkle with fresh thyme and everything bagel seasoning.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.
