Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a casserole dish or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared dish, shaping it into a loaf. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a meat thermometer reads 160°F (71°C).
  4. While the meatloaf bakes, heat unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add fresh mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle in the all-purpose flour, stirring with the mushrooms for about 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream, cooking until the gravy thickens.
  6. Once the meatloaf has rested for a few minutes, slice it and serve hot, drizzled with the rich mushroom gravy.
