For the Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Thinly slice the chicken breast.
  2. Mix cornstarch with chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  4. Sauté minced garlic and ginger in heated oil for 1 minute.
  5. Add coated chicken to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  6. Whisk together sauce ingredients in a separate bowl until smooth.
  7. Pour sauce over chicken, stir well, and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
  8. Add green onions and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
