  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Sage Use dried sage in smaller amounts if needed.
  • 2 cloves Grated Garlic Garlic powder can be used as a substitute.
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Allspice Can be replaced with nutmeg or omitted.

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Peel and cube the sweet potatoes, then boil them in water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and mash with salted butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, panko breadcrumbs, grated apple, chopped sage, garlic, salt, pepper, allspice, and egg. Mix gently until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter and place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through until browned and cooked through.
  5. For extra crispiness, broil meatballs for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve on a bed of creamy sweet potatoes, optionally garnished with crispy sage leaves.
