  • 1 medium Onion Chopped.
For the Sauce
  • 28 ounces Canned Crushed Tomatoes Fresh diced tomatoes can be used.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth or Wine Use low-sodium broth for a non-alcoholic option.
Seasoning Essentials
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Fresh basil can be substituted.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Finely chopped.

Instructions
  1. Season the pork chops generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Sear in a large skillet over medium-high heat with olive oil and butter for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Sauté sliced mushrooms, diced bell peppers, and chopped onions in the same skillet for 5-6 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes, cooking for another minute.
  5. Stir in the canned crushed tomatoes and chicken broth or wine, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  6. Return the pork chops to the skillet, reduce heat to low, and cover. Simmer together for 8-10 minutes.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
