Preparation
  1. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and allow it to brown for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Sauté the Veggies: Toss in the chopped onion, green pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for another 3-4 minutes until the veggies soften.
  3. Mix the Ingredients: Stir in the chili powder, tomato or vegetable juice, uncooked rice, and salt. Ensure everything is well combined.
  4. Bring to a Boil: Increase the heat until the mixture starts to boil. Lower the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 20 minutes.
  5. Fluff and Serve: After simmering, remove from heat and let it rest. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
