How to Make Tzimmes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a 13×9-inch baking dish with dairy-free margarine or butter. Layer in the sweet potatoes, carrots, and prunes.
  3. Whisk together orange juice, water, honey, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl. Pour over the arranged vegetables.
  4. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.
  5. Remove the foil, dot the margarine around the vegetables, and continue baking uncovered for 45-60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
