  • 1 whole egg to bind the filling

  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper for a subtle kick
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped

Method
 

Preparation

  4. Mix the ricotta cheese, Italian sausage, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, fresh basil, fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl until well combined.
  5. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over each zucchini layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
