Method

How to Make Smoked Salmon Roll Ups
  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, lemon juice, water, and mirin. Give it a good stir to combine, then chill in the fridge while you prepare the rolls.
  2. In another bowl, blend the whipped cream cheese, green onion, and lemon zest until smooth and creamy. Set this delightful mixture aside to mingle the flavors.
  3. Lay a large piece of plastic wrap on your counter. Sprinkle it with Everything But The Bagel seasoning, then lay overlapping slices of smoked salmon to form a rectangle. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the salmon.
  4. Place thin strips of cucumber and avocado in the center of the salmon rectangle, arranging them neatly for a burst of freshness.
  5. Using the plastic wrap as a guide, carefully roll the salmon over the filling, ensuring it’s tightly wrapped. Secure the ends by twisting the plastic wrap.
  6. For the best slicing experience, place your roll in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to firm it up slightly.
  7. Once chilled, slice the roll-up to your desired thickness. Serve with the chilled citrus soy sauce or alongside crisp crackers for a delightful snack.
