  • 15 pieces Baby Potatoes Do not peel for enhanced nutrition.
  • 1 cup Sliced White Onion Substitute with shallots if desired.
  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese Shredded or freshly grated for better melting.

Method
 

How to Make Smothered Pork Chop Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Sear each side for 2-3 minutes until browned, then rest on a paper towel-lined plate.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk, and French onion soup mix until smooth.
  4. Layer baby potatoes at the bottom of a greased baking dish, followed by sliced onions and seared pork chops. Pour the soup mixture evenly over the top.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the foil and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until pork reaches 145°F and cheese is melted.
  7. Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
