How to Make Snickerdoodle Banana Bread
  1. Preheat Oven: Heat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash Bananas: In a large mixing bowl, mash 2-3 ripe bananas until they're mostly smooth but still have some lumps for texture.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup melted butter, 2 large eggs, and 1/4 cup milk until blended, then fold into the mashed bananas.
  4. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together 1.5 cups all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup brown sugar.
  5. Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just blended, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Prepare Loaf Pan: Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and pour in the banana batter, smoothing the top.
  7. Add Topping: Sprinkle a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon over the top of the batter before baking.
  8. Bake: Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.
