- Cut the boneless skinless chicken breasts in half lengthwise for thinner pieces. Season generously with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add the remaining butter and the medium onion. Sauté until softened and lightly browned, about 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
- Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, scraping up any tasty brown bits from the pan.
- Gently mix in the sour cream, stirring until smooth and warm; do not let it boil.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over top, and season to taste. Serve immediately, garnishing with fresh chopped parsley.
