Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your loaf pan by lining a 9x5 inch pan with parchment paper.
  3. Sauté the onion and garlic in a small skillet until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, cheese, and seasonings in a large bowl and let sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Mix the ground beef, ground pork, and cooled onion mixture gently in the bowl until just combined.
  6. Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down to eliminate air pockets.
  7. Whisk together the glaze ingredients in a separate bowl until smooth.
  8. Spread one-third of the glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
  9. Bake for 45 minutes, then add another one-third of the glaze and continue baking for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Rest the meatloaf for 10 minutes before slicing.
