Method
 

How to Make Tanghulu
  1. Rinse your chosen fruits thoroughly and ensure they are completely dry.
  2. Carefully thread 2 to 4 pieces of fruit onto each bamboo skewer, mixing colors for a visually stunning display.
  3. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine sugar and water, then heat gently without stirring.
  4. Monitor the mixture until it reaches 300°F (150°C), which should take about 25 to 30 minutes.
  5. Once your syrup is ready, hold each skewer by the end and dip it into the hot syrup.
  6. Quickly immerse the coated skewer into a bowl of ice water for a few seconds.
  7. Stand the skewers upright in a container or lay them flat on parchment paper.
