Marinade
  • 1 medium Kiwi Acts as a meat tenderizer
  • 4 stalks Green Onions Fresh or substitute with ¼ onion
  • ½ cup Pineapple Juice Avoid fresh pineapple
  • ¼ cup Soy Sauce Tamari or coconut aminos for gluten-free
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar Substitutable with white sugar or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil Choose toasted for richer flavor
  • 4 cloves Garlic Always fresh
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Fresh preferred
Beef
  • 2 lbs Beef Short Ribs Boneless and cut into ½-inch thick strips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Blend kiwi, green onions, pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until smooth.
  2. Place the beef short ribs in a Ziploc bag, add the marinade, and let marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F and cook the beef for 5 minutes on each side until charred, or pan fry over medium-high heat for 5 minutes on each side.
  4. Preheat your grill and barbecue the beef for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Optional: Serve with grilled pineapple.
