Method
 

Baking Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients by combining all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk everything together and set it aside.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Add in the vanilla extract and apple cider vinegar, mixing until well combined.
  4. Incorporate the egg, and stir until fully mixed into the wet ingredients.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, folding gently until just combined. Then, fold in the semisweet chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  6. Scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet using a large cookie scoop, placing them about 3 inches apart.
  7. Bake the cookies for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are light brown and the centers look slightly underdone.
  8. Sprinkle the warm cookies with coarse sea salt as soon as they come out of the oven. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before moving them to a wire rack.
