  • 2 cups chocolate chips mix types like milk, dark, or semi-sweet
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts optional, omit for nut-free cookies

Method
 

Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and any optional nuts until evenly distributed.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or spoon to drop dollops of dough onto your prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
