  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil Other cooking oils like avocado oil can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust based on dietary needs.
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper Freshly ground is preferred.
For the Roasted Onions
  • 1 large Red onion Yellow onions can be used if red are unavailable.
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley Swap with cilantro or omit if unavailable.

Preparation Steps

  2. Mix za’atar, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a medium bowl until combined.

  4. Arrange chicken legs in a baking dish, skin-side up, and scatter red onion wedges around.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until chicken skin is crispy and golden brown.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
