- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined—it should be creamy with a hint of zest!
- Slice a thin layer off the base of each bagel, then carefully hollow out the center without cutting through.
- Generously spoon the creamy mixture into each hollowed bagel, pressing lightly to pack it in.
- Arrange filled bagels on a baking tray and bake at 190°C (375°F) for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly on top.
- Sprinkle with reserved bacon bits and fresh chives for a pop of color and flavor, then serve warm.
