  • 3 cups Chopped pecans

How to Make Pecan Pie Bars
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the crust: In a medium bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and chopped pecans. Cut in the softened butter until the texture resembles wet sand, then press it evenly into the bottom and up the sides of an ungreased 9x13 baking dish.
  3. Bake crust: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 18-22 minutes until lightly golden brown.
  4. Make filling: While the crust is baking, whisk together the brown sugar, salt, eggs, corn syrup, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Gently fold in the chopped pecans.
  5. Combine: Once the crust is ready, pour the pecan filling over the hot crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake again: Return to the oven and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
  7. Cool and serve: Allow the pecan pie bars to cool completely in the baking dish. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
