  • 1 pound Calamari Thawed and dried if frozen.
For the Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Can substitute with olive oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed.
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Freshly cracked.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Paprika Can use smoked paprika for extra flavor.
For the Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley or Cilantro Chopped.

Preparation
  1. Clean the calamari by removing the head, tentacles, and innards. Slice the body into rings and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Carefully add the calamari rings to the skillet, tossing them gently in the garlic butter. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the calamari turns opaque.
  4. Remove the skillet from heat, and drizzle fresh lemon juice over the calamari. Season with salt, freshly cracked pepper, and paprika.
  5. Plate the hot butter calamari, topped with freshly chopped parsley or cilantro, and serve immediately.
