Ingredients
  

For the Potatoes
  • 4 medium potatoes washed
  • 1 quart water for boiling
  • 2 teaspoon rock salt or regular salt
For the Coating
  • 1 cup yogurt or buttermilk/sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken breading mix homemade can be used
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder or cayenne/garlic powder
For Cooking
  • 2 cups oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil water in a large pot, then cut the potatoes into ¼ inch thick slices.
  2. Add rock salt to the boiling water and cook the potato slices for about 3 minutes.
  3. Drain them and let them cool slightly.
  4. Coat the potato slices with yogurt in a bowl.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan until hot.
  6. Mix chicken breading and paprika on a plate, then dredge the potato slices.
  7. Fry the potato pieces for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
