How to Make Mushroom Garlic Shrimp Pasta
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your choice of pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 3-4 minced garlic cloves and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add 1 pound of shrimp to the skillet, stirring gently. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Make sure not to overcook!
  4. Pour in 1 cup of cream and add ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the pan. Stir well until the ingredients are combined, and the sauce thickens slightly; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Gently toss the cooked pasta into the sauce until every strand is well coated and warmed through.
  6. Plate the Mushroom Garlic Shrimp Pasta and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs like basil or parsley if desired.
