How to Make Mushroom Garlic Shrimp Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your choice of pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add 3-4 minced garlic cloves and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add 1 pound of shrimp to the skillet, stirring gently. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Make sure not to overcook!
- Pour in 1 cup of cream and add ½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the pan. Stir well until the ingredients are combined, and the sauce thickens slightly; season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gently toss the cooked pasta into the sauce until every strand is well coated and warmed through.
- Plate the Mushroom Garlic Shrimp Pasta and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese and fresh herbs like basil or parsley if desired.
