  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
For Cooking the Chicken
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
  • 4 pieces Bone-in chicken breast halves
For the Cilantro Lime Butter
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup Minced fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped red onion
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 1 small Serrano pepper
  • to taste Pepper

Preparation Steps
  1. In a bowl, combine chili powder, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, baking cocoa, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  2. Generously rub the spice mixture all over the bone-in chicken breasts.
  3. In a large skillet, heat together olive oil and balsamic vinegar over medium heat.
  4. Add the chicken breasts and cook until beautifully browned, about 6-7 minutes on each side.
  5. While the chicken is cooking, mix together melted butter, cilantro, red onion, lime juice, serrano pepper, and a touch of pepper in a bowl.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Top your cooked chicken with the cilantro lime butter just before serving.
